Ginger Soothes!

-
Feeling bloated. Feeling nauseated. Feeling tensed up.

These are the feelings that may come when you are in your first trimester.

And I totally can understand as all these feelings just swept over me when I was in my first trimester. And it can get quite dampening even though you may be excited with your pregnancy.

Even if you are not pregnant, ginger is a good remedy for easing away the bloatedness, nausea and tension too.

Ginger also makes a very good remedy for "motion-sickness". (So if you are ever going on a long car ride or bus ride or boat ride, bring a flask of ginger tea along)

Try this fresh ginger tea recipe:

Cut a small section of young ginger, shave off the skin and crush it, grind it or blend it.
(I use a small blender to blend it, so I don't waste any of the juice.)

Method 1:
Put it in a tea strainer, or cloth bag.
Add boiling water and let it stand for 10 minutes.

Method 2:
Boil the ginger in a pot with water (enough for one person) for about 10 minutes.
Pour the boiled ginger water through a strainer into a cup.

For that little bit of extra oomph...
Add a dash of cinnamon or a slice of lemon or a teaspoon of honey.

If you find all these too troublesome, you can get off-the-counter ginger pills from the pharmacy, or ginger scented spray from the beauty products booths. They work just as well.
